DMCA Policy
namestyles.net respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This DMCA Policy (“Policy”) outlines our procedures for responding to notices of alleged copyright infringement and our designated agent for receiving such notices. While the DMCA is a United States law, we follow similar principles under the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 (particularly Section 79, which provides safe harbor for intermediaries), and we comply with valid takedown requests from copyright holders worldwide.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that any content on namestyles.net (including user‑generated styled names, images, or text) infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification (“Infringement Notice”) to our Designated Copyright Agent. To be effective, the notice must include substantially the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work – Describe the work you claim has been infringed (e.g., a specific font, image, or text). If multiple works, provide a representative list.
- Identification of the infringing material – Provide the URL(s) or other specific location(s) on our Site where the material resides. Be precise enough for us to locate it.
- Your contact information – Include your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement of good faith belief – You must state that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement of accuracy and authority – You must state, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature – Typing your full name at the end of the email or including a scanned signature is acceptable.
2. Submitting an Infringement Notice
Send the completed notice to our Designated Copyright Agent at:
Email: dmca@namestyles.net
Subject line: “DMCA Infringement Notice – [Your Work Title]”
We will acknowledge receipt promptly and, upon validation, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable time (usually 1‑3 business days). We will also make a good faith effort to notify the user who posted the content (if any).
3. Counter‑Notification
If you believe that material you posted on namestyles.net was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter‑notification (“Counter‑Notice”). To be effective, the Counter‑Notice must include:
- Identification of the material – The specific content that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury – That you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your contact information – Name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- Consent to jurisdiction – A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India (or, if outside India, to the jurisdiction of the courts in your location).
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send the Counter‑Notice to dmca@namestyles.net. Upon receipt, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10‑14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
4. Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Because namestyles.net does not require user accounts for the core tool, we track repeat infringement via IP addresses and email addresses (when provided). We reserve the right to block access to users who repeatedly violate copyright laws.
5. Misrepresentations
Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under applicable law. Please ensure your notices are accurate.
6. Limitations of the Tool’s Output
The stylish names generated by our tool are based on Unicode characters that are publicly available and not subject to copyright. However, if a user enters copyrighted text or uses a generated name in a way that infringes a trademark, the user – not namestyles.net – bears responsibility. We respond promptly to any valid copyright notice related to user‑submitted content (e.g., custom text input).
7. Contact for Non‑Copyright Issues
